EVENT PICKS

Final days to see selected artists' works at DAC Gallery's curated summer group exhibition at their space on S Broadway between 4th and 5th, closing Friday 8/28.

In response to being ousted to make way for new Arts District development, Ibid. Los Angeles presents Tree House Down - a show dealing with the temporary nature of galleries, their role in the gentrification process, and saying goodbye to a temporary home. On view through Saturday 8/29.

Also closing Saturday 8/29 is Plagiarist of My Unconscious Mind!, a collection of reality-questioning experimental films by Peggy Ahwesh, Cécile B. Evans and George Egerton-Warburton at Chateau Shatto in South Park.

Don't stop 'til you get enough Michael Jackson birthday celebrating. Questlove (of The Roots) spins lots of King of Pop on Sunday 8/30 12-7pm at Grand Park.

If the weekend ends but you haven't gotten enough dancing and good vibes in, Mustache Mondays is your steamy queer cure every Monday night at beloved dancefloor dive La Cita.

You don't need an excuse to dance in Grand Park, but here's one anyway- happy birthday MJ!
