Award-winning choreographer Camille A. Brown gets to the heart of the complexities of being a black female in urban America in a theatrical dance performance at REDCAT from Thursday 12/3 through Sunday 12/6.

A free weekend-long celebration of comics, graphic novels and sequential arts, Comic Arts LA arrives Saturday 12/5 - Sunday 12/6 at Think Tank Gallery in the Fashion District.

Live butterflies and drawings take over Leiminspace in Chinatown part of artist Ariel McCleese's solo show on art and science and the process of observation. Opening reception is Saturday 12/5 7-10pm.

Common Thread is a textile group show, ranging from found objects to personal talisman, featuring women artists at Art Share LA beginning Saturday 12/5 8-11pm.

Sensory expansion commences with a performance by Portland, OR-based artist collaborative MSHR at Coaxial on Saturday 12/5 9pm.
